The Story
  • The Royal Covenant
  • More than 3,000 years ago, a young shepherd was chosen by God to lead Israel and establish an everlasting kingdom. King David was not just a warrior—he was a poet, a musician, and a man after God’s own heart (1 Samuel 13:14). God made a sacred promise to him: "I will establish the throne of your kingdom forever" (2 Samuel 7:16). This King David Half Shekel Coin celebrates that divine promise, linking David’s past to the future restoration of his throne.
  • The Crown of David and the Promise of Kingship
  • On the obverse, a regal crown shines, symbolizing God’s eternal promise to David’s lineage (Psalm 132:11). Beneath it, the name "David" (דָּוִד) is inscribed, anchoring the coin in the legacy of the shepherd-king who united Israel and prepared for the Temple. Flanking David’s name are the Seven Species of Israel—grapes, figs, pomegranates, olives, wheat, barley, and dates—symbols of the land’s divine blessing (Deuteronomy 8:8). These same fruits were brought as offerings in the Temple, connecting David’s reign to the land and God’s continued provision.
  • The Temple Vision: A House for God’s Presence
  • The reverse of the coin displays the Third Temple, as described in Ezekiel 40–48. Though David never built the First Temple, he gathered materials, prepared the plans, and established Jerusalem as Israel’s spiritual heart. His son Solomon built it, but the vision was David’s dream. Surrounding the Temple are multilingual inscriptions in Hebrew, English, and Arabic, proclaiming: "My house shall be a house of prayer for all nations" (Isaiah 56:7). This declaration echoes David’s desire for the Temple to be a place where all people could seek God.
  • A Coin of Legacy and Redemption
  • The half-shekel was once an offering required of every Israelite to support the Temple (Exodus 30:13). This modern coin is a symbolic half-shekel, inviting believers to participate in the future restoration of Jerusalem and the Temple.
  • Your Role in David’s Legacy
  • By owning this coin, you: Celebrate Israel’s divine heritage. Pray for the restoration of David’s throne and the rebuilding of the Temple. Stand with Israel in the fulfillment of biblical prophecy. This coin is not just a keepsake—it is a reminder of God’s promises, a symbol of the Kingdom of David that will one day rise again.
